“The primary architectural concept was to keep it small-scale and to keep the traditional local design. We wanted to add minimal extension to the already existing building, keeping the scale of the neighboring buildings. These small additions were enough to fulfill the new needs. We wanted to emphasize the connection with nature and not the added areas. The architectural statement was to create a terrace platform that doubled the house’s useful area and serves as a transitional zone between nature and the built environment: four terraces, with four different functions.”
