“Our young customers requested a sleeping gallery. Our priority was the unity of design and function. Our goal was to reach continuity and homogeneity while incorporating feminine and masculine traits. Positioning the bed above the door results in a geometry that falls down as a ribbon in waves toward the corners of the room forming and dividing the space around itself. The hardness of the steel stairs embraced by the ribbon is balanced by the softly descending side. The furniture is floor, ceiling, stairs, bed, shelf and hidden storage in one. The monochromatic whiteness of the living room is broken by the new gallery that is accented by lights and is a fresh spot in the apartment.”
