“The building is part of the landscape. Due to the slope of the hill-side and the orientation, it is a long, terraced house. The transitional spaces created by staggered volumes, the intensive connection between the building's levels and the garden and the use of materials bring about integration into the environment and make the building landscape-like. The narrow and long house is organized along one axis. The basic concept evokes the triple division of traditional peasant houses with contemporary interpretation. The building is one free and easy line of rooms. The ground floor is a glass pavilion with freely flowing spaces but with strict functionality. The upper floor is a closed wooden volume with a corridor lit from above, which leads to the garden with a bridge and on which one finds the rooms of the private zone: bedrooms and bathrooms. The bright middle section of the building opens out between the levels and towards the garden.”
