“Our aim was to paraphrase the strong architectural thought's logic, which is based on definite contrasts. We fully and consistently applied this logic when forming interior spaces and choosing materials. The most precious “organ” in the focus of the spiritually organized building, the tender part of the stone snail, is the monumental volume of the concert hall. This core is embraced by storeys of auxiliary rooms like rehearsal and conference rooms or offices.
The interlocking two units are connected by a walking ring, which functionally organizes the building. Its funnel-like expansion is the reception hall, which is a transitory space between the outer and inner spaces. Not only does the audience enter here, but the environment also “flows” into the building.”
