HUNGARIAN PAVILION (EXPO), SANGHAI, 2010
TAMÁS LÉVAY (TARKA ARCHITECTS STUDIO)

“The Hungarian pavilion architecturally visualises human search and the insecure path to discovery. The hundreds of wooden bars hanging from the ceiling look like a bamboo wood. While walking through this wood the visitor can touch and smell the bars and is invited to discover an urban wood. The architectural concept, the main elements of which are light and empty space, directly responds to the form of Gömböc only with the space curve of the inverse wood. The philosophical connection between the concept and the Gömböc is much stronger.”
